 he was born on June 8, 1847, in Canton, Ohio. Ida came from a prominent an
 d well-off family and received a good education. She married William McKin
 ley in 1871.</p>\n<p class="" data-start="295" data-end="682">Tragically, 
 Ida suffered from a series of health problems and personal losses, includi
 ng the deaths of both of her young daughters. These hardships deeply affec
 ted her physical and emotional health, and she often relied on her husband
  for support. Despite her illness, she fulfilled her role as First Lady wi
 th dignity, and President McKinley was known for his devotion and care for
  her.</p>\n<p class="" data-start="684" data-end="842">After President McK
 inley was assassinated in 1901, Ida’s health declined further. She died 
 on May 26, 1907, in Canton, Ohio, and is buried beside her husband.</p>\n<
