Nancy Reagan was the wife of Ronald Reagan, the 40th President of the United States, and served as First Lady from 1981 to 1989. Born Anne Frances Robbins on July 6, 1921, she was an actress before marrying Reagan in 1952. As First Lady, she was known for her elegance and for launching the “Just Say No” drug awareness campaign, which became a central part of the national fight against drug abuse. She was a strong supporter and protector of her husband, both during his presidency and after he was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease. Nancy Reagan died in 2016 at the age of 94.
