 ouse renovations, including the installation of electricity and modernizat
 ion of its facilities, while also working to preserve its historic furnish
 ings. She was the first President General of the Daughters of the American
  Revolution and promoted arts and social causes. Caroline Harrison died of
  tuberculosis in the White House on October 25, 1892.</p>\n<p><img class="
