Thomas R. Marshall (1854 - 1925) was the 28th Vice President of the United States, serving under President Woodrow Wilson from 1913 to 1921. Born in North Manchester, Indiana, Marshall was a lawyer and politician, known for his humor and folksy demeanor. Prior to serving as vice president, he was the governor of Indiana. As vice president, he was often sidelined from major duties but gained recognition for his witty remarks and support of progressive policies. After his vice presidency, Marshall continued to be active in politics and writing. He passed away in 1925.
