John Adams was born on October 30, 1735, in Braintree, Massachusetts. He was a lawyer, diplomat, and one of the Founding Fathers of the United States. Adams played a leading role in advocating for independence and helped draft the Declaration of Independence. He served as the first vice president under George Washington and became the second president of the United States from 1797 to 1801. During his presidency, he faced challenges such as tensions with France and political divisions at home. Adams was married to Abigail Adams, whose letters provide valuable insight into early American life. He died on July 4, 1826, the same day as Thomas Jefferson.
