William Whipple (1730 - 1785) was an American Founding Father, merchant, and military officer from New Hampshire. He was a signer of the Declaration of Independence and served in the Continental Congress during the American Revolution. Whipple also fought as a brigadier general in the Continental Army and later held judicial and political offices in New Hampshire, contributing to the early development of the new nation.
