Franklin D. Roosevelt (January 30, 1882 - April 12, 1945) was the 32nd president of the United States, serving from 1933 to 1945. He led the nation through the Great Depression with his New Deal programs and guided the U.S. during most of World War II. Roosevelt is the only U.S. president elected to four terms and is remembered for his leadership, vision, and lasting impact on American government and society.
