Dwight D. Eisenhower was born on October 14, 1890, in Denison, Texas. He was a five-star general in the U.S. Army during World War II and served as Supreme Commander of the Allied Expeditionary Force in Europe, leading the D-Day invasion in 1944. After the war, he became the 34th President of the United States, serving from 1953 to 1961.
