Adlai E. Stevenson I was born on October 23, 1835, in Christian County, Kentucky. He was an American politician and lawyer who served as the 23rd Vice President of the United States from 1893 to 1897 under President Grover Cleveland. Stevenson was a member of the Democratic Party and also served as a U.S. Representative from Illinois. He was known for his eloquence and dedication to public service. He died on June 14, 1914.
